A structured review of available evidence on training-to-employment pathways, identifying what is established, what is contested and where evidence is absent.
The question
The client was considering investment in several workforce development approaches and wanted to know what existing evidence supported each option in comparable settings.
What we did
- Defined inclusion criteria and searched published and grey literature systematically.
- Appraised study quality and assessed how far findings transferred to the local context.
- Summarised results by approach, with confidence stated plainly rather than implied.
- Set out the questions that would require primary research to answer.
Result
A decision-ready review distinguishing well-supported options from those where the evidence base is thin, together with a proposed research agenda.
