4. Cookies and similar technologies
This website sets a session cookie that is necessary for our forms to work — it protects submissions against cross-site request forgery and remembers the confirmation message shown after you submit. It contains no personal information and expires when you close your browser.
If website analytics are enabled, additional cookies may be set by that provider to measure aggregate usage. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the forms on this site will not work correctly if session cookies are blocked. The map on our contact page is embedded from Google Maps and is subject to Google's own privacy terms.
5. Sharing your information
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for advertising. We may share it with:
- Our hosting and email service providers, who process it on our behalf in order to deliver the website and its messages.
- Professional advisers, where necessary and subject to confidentiality.
- Public authorities, where we are required to do so by law.
6. How long we keep it
- Enquiries: retained for up to 24 months after our last correspondence with you, unless a longer period is required for a contract or legal obligation.

- Newsletter subscriptions: retained until you unsubscribe.
- Server logs: retained according to our hosting provider's standard retention period.
7. How we protect it
The website is served over an encrypted connection. Form submissions are stored in a directory that is not accessible from the web, and uploaded documents are stored outside the public listing. Access is limited to DIRP staff who need it. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, and you should avoid sending confidential or sensitive personal data through the website forms.
8. Your choices
You may ask us to give you a copy of the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it for a particular purpose. You may unsubscribe from our updates at any time. Write to info@dirppk.com and we will respond within a reasonable period.
9. Children
This website is intended for professional and institutional audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Where research assignments involve data about children, that work is governed by the ethics protocols agreed for the assignment, not by this website policy.
10. Research data
Personal data collected during DIRP research assignments — for example survey responses or interview records — is governed by the consent, confidentiality and ethics arrangements agreed for each assignment and by our agreement with the commissioning client. It is not covered by this website policy.
11. External links
Our Resources page links to third-party institutions and data sources. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those websites.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised.
